PODIATRY

What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is an allied health profession that is devoted to the study, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower leg.

The Podiatrist's scope of practice includes areas such as paediatrics, diabetes, sports injuries, structural problems, and treatment of the elderly, as well as general foot care.

At Rehab Solutions Australia, our podiatrists play an important role in maintaining the mobility of elderly and disabled people.

The complex mechanics of feet (52 bones, a network of muscles, joints and ligaments) and a wide range of foot problems (over 200 identified conditions) demand professional expertise.

We also offer Radial Shockwave Therapy, a revolutionary new treatment used by our Podiatrists to treat foot and ankle pain.

How can our Podiatrists help?

Some examples of the conditions that Podiatry can help are:

  • Foot, heel, ankle and knee pain

  • Flat feet

  • Ingrown toenails
